NAB has commited to powering its operations with 100% renewable electricity by 2025.
NAB has signed a contract to secure renewable energy from the 80MW Crowlands wind farm, near Ararat in Victoria as part of the Melbourne Renewable Energy Project. This project will produce enough energy to power about 17,600 householders every year.
NAB has installed solar panels on 75 of its branches, business banking centres and its primary data centre with a cumulative installed solar capacity of 2,055kW. For branches with solar panels installed, these installations generate between 30-50% of a branch’s daily energy needs.
NAB ranked #170 on the list of the biggest electricity users in Australia in 2018-19.
